The reading
A bat spreads its ribbed wings above a small pentacle, with upright ears and a narrow body connecting the two sides.
The star hangs within its own circular rim below the animal. This combination suggests receiving unfamiliar impressions while keeping a considered point of reference, rather than mistaking every uncertainty for a direction.

The symbol
The ears face forward while the wings extend to either side, giving the figure both a focused center and a broad reach. Beneath it, the star's crossings collect several lines into a defined pattern, offering discernment alongside openness.
The material
Sterling Silver forms the wing membranes, raised ribs, ears and circled star, identified by Peter Stone as.925 silver. Broad surfaces and narrow crossing lines remain joined, bringing receptive attention and the structure used to examine it into one tangible form.
