The reading
A rounded octopus head rises above looping arms, with rows of raised suckers following their turns in sterling silver.
The arms curve in different directions while remaining connected to the same small body. That arrangement suggests an imagination able to test several approaches without losing sight of the question that brought them together.

The symbol
The open intervals between the arms matter as much as their elaborate curves. They keep each route visible instead of merging the creature into a solid mass, while the repeated suckers suggest attention to small points of contact along the way.
The material
Sterling Silver forms the head, curled arms and raised suckers, identified by Peter Stone as .925 silver. Bright ridges against recessed intervals make individual paths readable, connecting creative range with the patient attention needed to follow a particular approach.
